Innovation Award of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia goes to Professor Antonello Monti
Prestigious prize in the "Innovation" category goes to Professor Antonello Monti. The 100,000 euro Innovation Award is the second highest award of its kind.
Professor Antonello Monti, holder of the Chair of Automation of Complex Power Systems, is doing pioneering work in the digitization of power systems. His research is concerned with the digitization solution for distribution networks. As part of the SOGNO research project, his institute has developed an innovative software platform that achieves improved control of distribution networks and thus the highest possible usability.
The Innovation Award of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia was presented for the twelfth time to individuals who drive innovation through their research and development. The total of 180,000 euros in prize money was awarded for the first time in four categories: "innovation", "young talent", "innovation2business" and "honorary prize".
