Mobile World Congress 2015
Monday, March 2, to Thursday March 5, 2015
The Mobile World Congress (GSMA) is the world's leading trade fair for the mobile industry and expects more than 86,000 attendees and 1,900 exhibitors from 2nd to 5th March 2015 at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona. New technologies and future developments in the field of mobile communication - from network infrastructure to mobile handsets and devices up to software and applications - will be presented. Once again the profile area ICT will participate in the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 with current research projects at the joint booth of North Rhine-Westphalia.
This year, besides “Multimedia” and “Computer Vision” one of the key themes is “Digital Ambience”, referring to the enormously growing amount of connected devices surrounding us in all domains, whether it is industry, smart cities, energy, health or daily life. A new concept in this field are cyber-physical systems (CPS), whose emergence leads to enormous technological challenges. At the Mobile World Congress the ICT profile area of RWTH Aachen University presents new projects and prototypes, such as "Smart City sensor Infrastructure", "Robotinos: Autonomous Smart Helper", “Oculus Rift: Enabling Smart Cities by Oculus Rift”.
We look forward to seeing you at the NRW joint booth 6B40, Hall 6.
