Cooperation Between eBay Aachen and the Chair of Computer Science 6

In 2014, eBay established a technology lab in Aachen. Many of the research scientists working in eBay's Aachen lab are former PhD students of RWTH Aachen University and got their degree at the Chair Computer Science 6 (Lehrstuhl Informatik 6 - Human Language Technology and Pattern Recognition).  Many years ago (starting from 2015), a cooperation between eBay Aachen and the Chair Computer Science 6 has been established.  By now, the cooperation resulted in 7 joint publications at international conferences and 12 master theses co-supervised by eBay. The areas of cooperation have been various aspects of speech and language technology, in particular machine translation using neural networks and deep learning in natural language processing.
