Structural Change Major Project Textile Factory 7.0
The joint project "Structural Change Major Project Textile Factory 7.0" in which the Institute of Textile Technology (ITA for short) of RWTH is involved, has successfully completed the first phase of the application process with the highest score.
The aim of the future project is to overcome the immense digital and ecological challenges of the textile industry. To this end, the project aims to develop an industrial park that establishes artificial intelligence and robotics as well as making zero emissions the standard. The overarching goal of Textile Factory 7.0 is to reform the textile and apparel industry by moving sustainable production sites back to industrialized countries. As a pioneer, the C&A Group has started the production of a sustainable jeans in the Monforts Quarter.
Congratulations to Professor Thomas Gries, Head of ITA and ICT Steering Committee member, and all involved!
