Professor Ney Receives Google Focused Award for Research on Speech Recognition

Professor Dr.-Ing. Hermann Ney, head of RWTH chair for computer science 6 (Speech processing andpattern recognition), has received the Google Focused Award for his work on automatic speech recognition. The price is worth one million US-Dollars. The prize money will be used to finance further research in his institute.
